My Story
After training in combat sports for over a decade, I finally discovered a love for running. Despite joining the running scene relatively late in my mid-30s, my determination to see how far I could progress remained unwavering. Starting from struggling to run just 3km without stopping and overcoming several bad injuries along the way, I have now completed multiple marathons. This journey is only the beginning, and I am excited for what lies ahead.

Runners High
While I had previously experienced the widely-discussed
'runner's high' during my routine runs, it was the official races that truly unveiled the exhilaration running could offer me. The sheer energy of running alongside thousands of follow participants with photographers and crowds cheering, left me utterly captivated. After just a few events, I was completely hooked on the joy of running.
The Journey
Progress
It wasn't until after running the Robinhood Nottingham
Half Marathon in 2019 that I started to wonder about my physical limits and what I could achieve. Having just completed what felt like a brutally grueling journey, with a time of 1:41:02. I became determined to find out how it was possible to break the 1:40 barrier. At the time, I thought it was impossible!
Covid Pandemic
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, I found myself picking up the pace, dedicating time to daily learning, and consuming online content through reading and watching. I began looking into training plans and drew inspiration from fellow running vloggers, which motivated me to document my own journey through vlogging on YouTube.
Berlin: A World Major Marathon
After crossing the finish line with a time of 03:15:02 at the Berlin Marathon in 2021, my belief in the power of training, dedication to diet, lifestyle changes, sacrifices, and strength and conditioning grew stronger. It became my personal mission to pursue the elusive milestone of the sub 3 hour Marathon barrier.
Confidence
The running journey continued, and it didn't take long before I had participated in numerous events at various distances. With each experience, I gained valuable insights and began surpassing my personal bests in the Half Marathon.
The Sub 3 Hour Marathon
I've made 5 attempts to achieve a sub 3-hour marathon time, but unfortunately, I fell short each time. The closest I came was during the Manchester Marathon in 2022 when I crossed the finish line in an agonisingly close 3:00:09.
For now the journey continues as I look to my 6th attempt at the Valencia Marathon 2024.
